I checked out Izakaya Seki tonight and had a very good meal. Tried the tuna fish, saut&eacute;ed sardine shirt, beef short ribs, three vegetables, and a few other dishes. Let me tell you, the food was delicious - very authentic, great flavors, fresh ingredients. We also had a great bottle of sake that our waitress helped us pick out, and it was really delicious. This place is traditional style, and if you buy a large bottle and don&#39;t finish it all, they will save it for you with your name on it. I highly recommend this establishment, but it&#39;s way overpriced for what it is. We spent nearly $100 for two light meals, including tip and gratuity. Regardless, I highly recommend it.

Very nice setting offering many delights, not the least of which is the hospitality of the wait staff. The sashimi sampler is not to be missed. Hamachi Kama is good. The pickled wild mushrooms are amazing. The short rib is unremarkable but tasty but would be for a serving that was more meaty than bone- a forgivable nit. Chahan (fried rice) was good but not memorable. The prawn kaki age (rock shrimp, vegetable frittes) seemed to be a very appetizing version of the sashimi in the sizzlers, catching our eye by comparison with a neighbor. The saki selection is good. We will return and explore further.

My husband and I stumbled upon this hidden gem. We sat at the &quot;sushi restaurant&quot; not entirely because they didn&#39;t serve sushi. We arrived at 6:30 pm on Wednesday night, when we sat down and the crowd began forming and waiting for the table to begin. We ordered the largest sashimi and the number of sashimi was excellent. We were so surprised that our selection included Red Bull and Elephant Pull! We also ordered grilled kolbi short ribs, fish fried smelting, big stone soup tofu, Ikura rice balls and 3 cooked vegetable samples. All delicious. We can&#39;t wait to come back in town.

A friend recommended we go to Izakaya Seki. Went and were able to get two seats at the bar on the lower level. Everyone was friendly and Mr. Seki was hilarious. The food was very good and there was a lot of variety. The beef tongue was excellent. The rice balls were delicious. The salad selection was good and they had ankimo (fish liver) which I loved. Great sake selection.
